1) NIMPA is a Municipality that is not subject to Real Estate Taxes so this project is exempt from the taxes that would benefit Ogle County, White Rock Township, Kings School, Rochelle High School, the Fire Department, and the Sheriff's Department.UPDATE : The "Rochelle News~Leader" has reported that "NIMPA representatives have said that the required Ogle County Special Use Permit will have binding language that will require equal compensation as compared to the tax requirements that a private utility would be expected to pay." 2) The loss in area property values.
3) We strongly object to NIMPA's Claim of a "Community Wind Project" when the people of the community in which the wind turbines are to be located were not informed until after the location was decided.
4) Even with large grants from the Government RMU customers will still be paying more for their electricity Not Less!!
